Just a few juicy bits of fashion news:
Our favorite clothing mecca H&M has just announced that Roberto Cavalli will be the latest designer to create a collection to hit about 200 stores on November 8th. The collection will have 25 pieces for women, mainly eveningwear, and 20 pieces for men as well as accessories and lingerie. If the collection looks anything like his haute couture collection we are in for a treat!
Following in H&M footsteps (high-end designers at low prices), Target has also just announced that Libertine will be their 7th GO Designer. The Libertine for Target collection will range in price from $12.99-$39.99 and will be available in Target stores and at http://www.target.com from July 15th-September 15th. The Jones Apparel Group is working on a agreement to sell the venerable fashion store Barney’s New York to the investment arm of the Dubai government. I am personally not too crazy about this sale, Barney’s is an American fashion icon and I feel it should stay American owned. I will keep you posted if the sale goes through, in the meantime you can read the NY Times article by clicking here.
he is a great fashion designer.. It will be a great partnership
