I am sorry for the short blogging hiatus! I hope to be back to posting as normal, starting today! It has been busy around casa de Clotheshorse and blogging unfortunately had to take a back seat.
One of my good friends got married on Saturday and so I had been busy planning and attending various wedding events. On a fashion note, the bride’s mother made all of the bridesmaid’s dresses and they were spectacular. They were strapless long dresses with gathering/pleated fabric around the waist and were made out a gorgeous silk pewter colored fabric that came from Mood in New York (same fabric store that they shop at in Project Runway). She did an amazing job using couture sewing techniques like they used to in designer ateliers of days gone by, it is probably the closet I will ever get to wearing a haute couture custom made dress, made just for me, it even had my initials stitched inside the dress. I promise to post pics as soon as I get them!
I also have been busy planning a photo shoot for a local magazine, showcasing holiday party attire and we photographed some absolutely amazing dresses and outfits perfect for any holiday soiree. I will be sharing some of the dresses we featured to help with your holiday party dressing. Tis the season!
This is a pic of my friend in her wedding dress at a fitting, she is posing with the actual designer, Elizabeth Fillmore who makes some unbelievably beautiful wedding dresses. Check out more gorgeous dresses at www.elizabethfillmorebridal.com.
