Kissable Lips

Cold weather and winter winds outside mixed with warm dry heat inside can be especially tough on your skin and your lips in particular. With Valentine’s Day on the horizon it is time to get those lips in impeccable kissing condition. The best way to do that, is to use an exfoliating lip scrub that treats dull, dry and flaky lips and leaves them smooth in seconds. One of my faves is Philosophy’s Kiss Me Exfoliating Lip Scrub, available at www.sephora.com.

The next step to kissable lips is to moisturize and protect them by using an extra nourishing and moisturizing lip balm. A few of my favorites include, Clinique Superbalm Lip Treatment (a deep hydrating balm the repairs distressed lips and comes in an easy squeeze tube), Bliss Superbalm SPF 15 (helps mind the “chap” and safeguards your smooch from the sun and glides on easy), Eve Lom Kiss Mix (a favorite among celebrities, this rich glossy treatment helps to moisturize and protect tender lips) and Rosebud Salve (a cult-favorite multi-purpose lip balm that soothes dry lips, calms and soothes irritation and soothes the sting of minor burns).

Once your lips are smooth and soft you just need to add a bit of glossy flavored lip gloss to entice the one you want to kiss. Try Philosophy’s Candy Hearts Lip Shine Trio, it contains three mouth watering lips shines with sweet nothings written right on the tubes. Say “be mine” with Melon Daiquiri, “ask me” with Vanilla Birthday Cake and “i love you” with Raspberry Sorbet, available at www.sephora.com. Pucker Up!
