High Style

Clothing that is sophisticated with a bit of an edge mixed with a hint of sexy are irresistible, classy and showstopping all rolled into one gorgeous package. When I saw this silk sleeveless high neck top by Voom by Joy Han I instantly visualized an outfit that was the perfect mix of classy and sexy, perfect for a dinner out or a wild night on the town.

The color combo of gray and black lends toward the sophisticated side while the cool graphic print gives it a funky vibe, the silhouette with the high neck and banded bottom is right on trend and the cut in sleeveless style shows off toned arms and shoulders. Pair this blousy top with a pair of Theory’s Rosel Tailor slim straight leg pants, which will create a long lean silhouette and balance out the fuller top. Finish off the look with a chunky bracelet like this charm bracelet from Rachel Leigh or this rhinestone bangle from Kenneth Jay Lane.

This Calls For Champagne

Ah, the holidays – tis the season for jingle bells, twinkle lights, gingerbread cookies and fabulous parties. At no other time of the year are there so many social events crammed into one short period of time, so as the holidays twinkle into view so do the party invites. If you are just so lucky to receive an invite to a black-tie party, fret not, BCBG Max Azria has you covered in glorious style!

This bronze metal taffeta gown is a great alternative to black when black tie is called for and the tie waist is a festive nod to the season. Metallics, from subtle sheen to high shine, kicks into full gear this season, and what better way to get into the trend than a dress with metal actually woven into the bronze fabric, causing an interesting crinkle texture and a subtle hint of shine, as if you are making your own candlelight. The hourglass shape will show off your curves beautifully and leave men drooling in your wake. Raise a glass of champagne to a galaxy of looks that promise to make you an evening star. My new word of the day is luminosity, which means: the state of being luminous; brilliance or radiance and in astronomy it means the rate at which a star radiates energy in all directions. Which is what you will be in these dresses and top by Twelfth Street by Cynthia Vincent; you will be radiating glamorous energy in every direction.

Great design and pearl details make a match in luminous party wear! Choose between sleeveless or sleeves and if casual is more your speed pair the top with jeans and heels. All three available at

Jewel Tones

It never fails that when I have somewhere to go where I need a really great outfit or dress; I just can’t find what I am looking for and as soon as the event is over I find the perfect outfit! Then I am left with the dilemma, do I go ahead and buy said outfit and wait for something to come up to wear it to or do I just pass on it knowing that when something does come up it may not be quite right or by then I will have moved on to wanting something else. Decisions, Decisions!

The above scenario recently happened to me, I needed something to wear to a rehearsal dinner and ordered three dresses and sent them all back because nothing seemed quite right. I ended up wearing a dress I already had and lo and behold I was surfing the web and found the perfect dress! I think in this case I just may buy it and hope I have somewhere cool to wear it and with the holidays fast approaching this is the perfect party dress.

The Graham & Spencer Sparkle Dress will do just that all season long in its vibrant shade of pink and trimmed with red beads. Rich, vibrant jewel tones will add a pop of color to the ever dominant black party wear and the trapeze style is very up-to-the-minute chic and forgiving especially when it is the season of Christmas cookies! The shirred racer-back will show off shoulders nicely and the pockets are a whimsical touch. Strike out on your own in this hot pink dress, the splash of color and sparkling beads make it an electric option for evening! Available at and

I think this dress would look cute with these red satin heels from Nine West, available at

Fashionable Invite

I am totally obsessed with Sarah LeClere invitations and stationary. I have always had a bit of a thing for paper products, I look for any excuse to wander aimlessly through stationary stores buying products I so rarely use in this digital world, but I love the look and feel of stationary from old world elegance to punchy colorful whimsical.

It was on one of these trips (I had an excuse as I was planning a lingerie shower for a good friend of mine and needed cute invites) when I stumbled across Sarah LeClere invitations. Being fashion obsessed I instantly noticed an invitation in the shape of a dress on a european dress form. It was so elegant, modern and simply oozed of good taste, I was smitten. So I rushed home and googled Sarah LeClere and saw her full range of invitations each one more delightful than the next.

What makes her invitations so adorable is the fact that they are die-cut in the shape of the object, so they are more visually interesting than a square piece of paper and she tends to use very fashion forward items, such as shoes, dresses and handbags among many other items like a wedding cake, champagne bottle, baby carriage and an elephant, yes an elephant. So the next time you are in need of a great invitation or need an excuse to throw a great party check at Sarah LeClere invitations at or

I case you’re wondering I went with the red high heel shoe for my friend’s shower, it just looked like something she would own!
